An Oakdoor™ Data Diode can ensure encrypted files received through external channels don’t contain malware, and shield the isolated network from malicious attacks.
When using the diode, it’s possible to create a safe zone, so the imported structured data can be decrypted and transformed into SISL.
First, the Oakdoor™ Basic Diode directs the encrypted file into a dedicated import area of the network and ensures no data can escape. The Oakdoor™ Export Diode then sends a decryption key from the isolated network and ensures only authorised keys are used and that no data traffic enters via the connection providing the decryption key.
Once this step is complete, the data is decrypted and imported into the classified network using the Oakdoor™ Import Diode. The Import Diode verifies that the data is well structured. After this, the content of the file is ready for detailed content inspection in software.
